The Peedie Hostel (Peedie is an Orcadian word, meaning "small") is a quaint hostel overlooking the harbour in the town of Kirkwall, and lies within easy strolling distance of the Main Srteet and many local attractions. It is close to many local amenities, including pubs, restaurants shops and supermarkets.
The Peedie Hostel has three single rooms, three twin bedded rooms and two 4 bed dorm rooms (or family rooms). Shared facilities include three kitchens and three shower rooms. All rooms have TV's and most enjoy views over the bay. All rooms are heated.

By Ferry:From the ferry terminals in Stromness, St Margarets Hope or Burwick Take the bus into Kirkwall Bus station
The hostel is on the seafront 200 metres from the bus station at the side of the Ayre Hotel.
By Air:Take the Airport Bus into town or take a taxi (about £7.50 Tel 01856 878787 to book) By Late ferry from Aberdeen or Lerwick: Guests should be aware that the ferry docks about 3 km out of town.

By Car: Drive along the harbour front. The hostel has a small, safe car park at the side.
By Bike: There is a courtyard in the grounds of the hostel where you can leave bikes in complete safety.
